Wedding season is just around the corner and we are super exited for our social media feeds to be bombarded with gorgeous wedding pictures! In celebration we are giving brides to be a little help by sharing a few major trend predictions to hit SA brides from 2019 Spring/ Summer Bridal weeks across the globe!
Our first trend is 3D Florals.
Big or small.
It was all over the runways of Viktor & Rolf, Marchesa, Lela Rose and Maria Valentino.
We are extremely exited about this trend as is can be used in so many different ways.
Use it as purely decorative or harness it as a mean to hide any insecurities by accentuating the parts you love.
This trend brings a whimsical feminine feel to the bridal scene.
Our second trend is Capes.
Variations between delicate and sheer, and structured and dramatic. This trend was all over the runways of Elie Saab, Zuhair Murad, Marchesa, Jenny Packham, Kurt Wilberding and Anne Barge.
A personal favorite as this trend will most likely take center stage during the Ceremony, giving the "I Do" more effect. The trend is also a great idea for a cover up in cooler summer evenings before the partying begins.[endif]--![endif]--[endif]--![endif]--
Our third trend is the Jumpsuit.
Structured, sheer, metallic, sleeveless, basically in any variation!
The trend was all over the runways of Lela Rose, Naeem Khan, Viktor & Rolf, Gracy Accad, Francesca Miranda and Mira Zwillinger.
Although we think that this trend will most likely be popular for elopements, we hope top see this trend gaining exposure at weddings as a second outfit for brides. A Party suit!
Our fourth trend is the BOWS!
It could be functional or decorative, small or huge.
This trend was all over the runways of Lela Rose, Madeline Gardner, Monique Lhuillier, Berta and Carolina Herrera.
Another favorite as this is such a feminine touch to add to any wedding dress and it will be popular With classic-, whimsical-, romantic- and dramatic brides.
Our number five trend is Simplicity.
Sometimes the the simplest makes the biggest impact.
This trend was all over the runways of Romona Keveza, Amsale, Justin Alexander, Jenni Packham, and Gracy Accad.
We love this trend as it gives a royal, sophisticated classic appeal to your bridal look and allows the bride to place more detail in her hair and or accessories.
Our sixth trend is Metalics.
Mainly in Gold and Silver.
This trend was all over the runways of Davids Bridal, Watters, Glia Lahav, Elizabeth Fillmore and Francesca Miranda.
This trend will be popular with the unconventional bride, but we think you should consider going for this trend if you are going to opt for a second dress / look for your reception. If you are a bit more conservative and traditional, consider bringing elements in like a metallic ribbon or metallic applique.
Our seventh trend COLOUR!
Subtle or in your face.
This trend was all over the runways of Hayley Paige, Leanne Marshall, Watters, Temperley, Vera Wang an Carolina Herrera.
Why not go all out with the theme of your wedding day?
We hope to see variations of this trend in the upcoming wedding season, although we expect pastel variations to be more popular.
Our number eight trend is Detachable Pieces.
Two looks with zero effort.
This trend was all over the runways of Pronovias, Maria Valentino, Galia Lahav, Naeem Khan and Yolan Chris.
We love the idea of an interchangeable design that is able to give the bride two options.
The detachable shirt has enjoyed popularity in the previous wedding season and we have a feeling that it might become a wedding trend "staple" for future seasons to come.
Our number nine trend is See-through.
Have it in only some parts of your dress, or in your complete dress.
This trend was all over the runways of Justin Alexander, Pronovias, Berts, Adam Zohar and Hermione de Paula.
It all depends on the brides confidence how much she will reveal, we always encourage a little bit of sexy...
As always, these are trends only, an indication of what might be popular in the season to come and more for a bride that would like to be on trend.
Your wedding dress should reflect who you are and more importantly you should feel comfortable wearing it.
Keep an eye out for our next blog on Bridal Beauty trends for the upcoming wedding season.
Have a blessed day!
